ציור זה של מרפסת, יש לה גדר מכאן וגדר מכאן גבוהות כשיעור [י' טפחים מהרצפה] ודלת לפתח, וגגון [או ישר, או משופע] לכסות את המרפסת, פעמים שהיא מכסה בדיוק מעל הגדר ובהרבה מקרים הגגון עודפת ובולטת החוצה מעבר לפתח [יותר מג' טפחים].
הנה השאלה היא האם לפתח זה יש משקוף, שהרי מבואר בשו"ע יו"ד סי' רפז שפתח שאין לו משקוף פטור ממזוזה. אמנם רבים סוברים שכל תקרה וכיסוי מעל לפתח נחשב משקוף לחייבה. ולכן ראוי לקבוע מזוזה בפתח זה בלי ברכה.
I think there are some opinions that would require a mezuza on the right beam (of this picture) if I understand the picture correctly. Similar to the case of the counter which is connected to the wall.

השבמחקThe beam is definitly patur. The walls are next to the gate, they are 10 tefahim high, so there is a full size pesach. The problem is that the roof is above and extending outward - so there seems to be no mashkof
The problem with the counter mentioned in poskim, is that the wall and the counter seem together to be the wall closing the gate [mezuzas hashaar] so where should the mezuza be positioned?
But in this picture the wall on the right side of the gate is a wall on its own, and far from the beam
